How we collect and check clinic prices
Every price on this site is a price a clinic publishes itself. We record it as published, note where we found it and the date we checked it, and then work out comparisons in the same way for every clinic.
On this page
Where prices come from
- Only prices a clinic, hospital or named surgeon publishes on its own website or in its own price list.
- We do not use prices from forums, review sites, adverts, booking agencies or quotes sent to a patient.
- We do not list agencies or facilitators that sell treatment at other clinics. We list the clinics themselves.
- A range that a clinic gives for its own treatment is shown as a "from" price at the lower end. A range that describes a whole country is never used as a price.
- If one page shows two different prices for the same package, we record neither.
- We copy facts only: the price, the currency, what the package includes, and the page address. We never copy a clinic's text, photos or logos.
What we record for each price
- The price exactly as published, in the clinic's own currency, with no rounding.
- The type of price: a fixed package price, a price per unit (per graft, per tooth or per implant), or a "from" price that the clinic says is a starting point.
- What is included and what is not. If the clinic does not say, we show "not stated" rather than guess.
- The page we found it on, shown as plain text next to the price, and the date we last checked it.
How often we check
- We aim to recheck every price every 2 weeks. Each price shows the date it was last checked.
- A price not rechecked for 45 days or more is marked "Rechecking".
- A price not rechecked for 90 days or more is taken off the site and left out of every figure.
- If a clinic's own page dates a price to an earlier year, or shows an offer that has ended, we do not show it until a later check finds a current price.
- When a price changes, we keep the old one as history, so a clinic page can show how its prices have moved.
How we work out the summary figures
Each comparison page shows the lowest, median and highest price, the number of clinics, and the dates the prices were checked.
- We take each clinic's cheapest fixed or per-unit price in the same unit. "From" prices are shown in the tables but never used in a figure.
- We only show a median when at least 5 clinics have a price we can use. With fewer, we show the table only.
- Clinics that appear to belong to the same business are counted once.
- The median is the middle price of the clinics we list. It is not an average for a whole country.
Units we compare
- Hair transplant: on a country page, each clinic's cheapest package. When we compare countries, we use a price for 3,000 grafts: a package with no graft limit, or a limit of 3,000 grafts or more, at its package price; the package size that covers 3,000 grafts; or a price per graft multiplied by 3,000.
- Dental implants: a complete tooth, meaning the implant, the abutment (the connector) and the crown. We add these up from the same clinic's own published prices, and only when it publishes a price for every part. We also show the median for the implant alone.
- All-on-4 dental implants: the price for one arch (one jaw). We only use packages that the clinic names as All-on-4 or All-on-6 and that give fixed teeth. Removable dentures and prices for the first stage only are left out.
- Veneers and dental crowns: the price per tooth. A package for several teeth is divided by the number of teeth.
When a page is published
A page for a treatment in a country appears only when we list at least 6 clinics there, and at least 4 of them publish a current price. Clinics that only quote after an assessment are listed separately. A city page needs 6 clinics in that city.
Currency conversion
- Every price is shown in the currency the clinic uses, and converted so you can compare.
- We convert with the European Central Bank reference rates of 23/10/2026. The ECB does not publish rates for COP, CRC and VND, so for those we use open.er-api.com.
- A converted price is a guide. The clinic charges in its own currency, and your bank may use a different rate.
The Turkish health tourism list
Turkey's Ministry of Health publishes lists of facilities authorised for health tourism. The lists we checked were updated on 05/10/2026.
- If we find a clinic on the list by name, its page says it is listed, with the date of the list.
- If we do not find it, we say nothing. Many clinics are listed under a company name or a doctor's name, so not finding a brand name does not mean a clinic is not authorised.
- Being on the list is not a judgement of quality or safety, by us or by the Ministry.
What we do not do
- We do not rank clinics by quality, and we do not show ratings or reviews.
- We do not give medical advice or say which treatment is right for you.
- We do not link to clinic websites, and we do not sell travel, hotels or transfers.
Something wrong?
If a price is out of date or wrong, please tell us. Clinics can see how on our page for clinics.
